MASON Architects was invited to consult on the development of this 10 acre property. The goal was for the property to realize its full potential as a revitalized waterfront neighborhood with a vibrant and diverse mix of uses that encourage year-round enjoyment and engagement by the Portland community. Enhancing public access to the waterfront, restoring the historic character, responsive contextually, providing a diverse housing supply, expanding marine use were some of the key priorities.
Collaborating with Perkin+Wills, Scott Simon Architects, and Boucher Landscape, MASON Architects led the hotel and luxury housing component of the project to maximize site and building efficiencies as well as site circulations, massing, adjacencies and hospitality-related programs as well as create the residential unit plans and mix report.
