This luxury hotel is a component of an ambitious redevelopment of a heritage beachfront area in the resort destination of Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. The hotel design references the rich built, cultural and natural heritage of a coastal Dhofari village; the luxurious guestrooms and apartments are designed to look and feel like traditional dwellings with lush garden courtyards and water features, framed by traditional arcaded corridors with open stairways to upper levels and roof terraces. The rooms align with the footprint and volumes of the old village structures on site, and the character of the winding, narrow pedestrian streets has been preserved to create an authentic village-like experience for resort guests.
The scheme is a cohesive blend of the old and new – a celebration of Al Hafa’s past with modern amenities and luxury. The guestrooms and apartments are designed to look and feel like the traditional dwellings. Most of them align with the footprint and volumes of the existing structures maintaining a strong connection to the history of the site.
The scope includes a 240 Key Hotel with 1,000 sm function space, 1,300 sm Spa and Fitness, 70 Apartments, and 12 Villas
